Self-Acceptance Through Style: How to Redefine Body Confidence After Baby | Featured in Parents Magazine

Getting dressed after having a baby is one of those things nobody really prepares you for. Your body has changed, your clothes don't fit the same way, and somehow something as simple as getting dressed in the morning can bring up a wave of emotions you weren't expecting.

I was honored to be featured in Parents Magazine alongside therapists, stylists, and real moms talking about exactly this — how to dress your postpartum body in a way that actually feels good, and how to start rebuilding your relationship with yourself in the process.

My contribution was simple but something I believe deeply: wear clothes that fit the body you're in right now. Not the body you had before. Not the body you're trying to get back to. This one. The one that just did something incredible and deserves love now.

Wear flowy tops or comfy dresses. Buy pants that feel looser around the midsection so that you feel comfortable in any position.

We talked about:

  • Why squeezing into pre-baby clothes can work against your confidence

  • Practical clothing swaps that actually feel comfortable for nursing, sitting, bending, and all the things new moms are doing all day long

  • How budget-friendly options like secondhand clothing can help you dress well without the pressure

  • The self-compassion practices that go hand in hand with feeling good in your skin
